New YEAR, New Approach

For the last few years, Index has had the opportunity to create videos for the New Covenant Academy annual fundraising banquet. This year marked their 45th anniversary and they wanted the videos to reflect on their past and get people excited for their future. Rather than re-hashing the historical facts of their history, we opted to travel through NCA’s history in a thematic journey. We filmed over the course of five days and focused on capturing a wide array of scenarios in and out of the school. Although we were limited in historical resources, we used a flatbed scanner to produce high-resolution images from the pages of the yearbooks. In the end, we created this 60 second advertisement, a two minute history video, and a countdown video to kick off the event.

After the project concluded we were invited to share our creative process and behind the scenes details of this project at the November meeting of Springfield Creatives.
